Are you a teacher, teaching assistant or staff supporting students with high needs in daily activities?
This course covers moving and handling legislation (MHOR 1992, LOLER 1998), safeguarding, responsibilities, supported transfers, mobility, fall risk management, and safe assistance for children.
Participants will learn:
- Legislation, responsibilities, and safeguarding
- Use of hoists, slings, and transfer aids
- Supporting students with bed mobility, toileting, and wheelchair use
- Risk assessment and injury prevention, with a focus on back care
- This one-day training enhances awareness and skills for staff supporting students with diverse moving and handling needs, preparing them to provide effective support.
Please note a charge of £70 will apply for this course.
