What is OT and where do I start?

The OT Support Hub provides advice and suggestions to help children and young people who are experiencing functional difficulties with everyday tasks. The sections below offer resources that can be used to support a child or young person with tasks at school, at home and in the community; whether it be improving dressing, feeding, bathing, or toileting skills or  providing strategies to improve concentration, organisation, and handwriting skills.

We believe that you are the expert on your child and the situation, and the OT Support Hub is here to offer you ideas and strategies to help you help your child.

If after looking at our resources, you feel you need to speak to an OT then have a look at our Events page to see if an OT will be holding an event near you or reach out to use via our Contact Form.

Where can I get more support?

There are many local and national organisations providing in-person and online support as well as opportunities to meet other parents and access peer support.
